Staff Software Engineer, Alts Data Management

The Role We are currently seeking a staff software engineer to join the Alternatives Data Management (ADM) team. Our team is building AI-powered data products and workflow solutions that unlock transparency, efficiency, and insight in private market investments. You’ll join a talented full-stack team of engineers and work on distributed services that are used across the entire ADM engineering stack. What You’ll Do Own the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-month initiatives within ADM, including work that spans team boundaries. Anticipate risks and unblock dependencies before they become delivery blockers. Lead technical designs for new products and workflow solutions, aligned with ADM and Addepar’s longer-term strategy. Solicit feedback and build consensus. Write exemplary, highly performant, and scalable code and frameworks. Evangelize and promote best engineering practices. Serve as a primary technical point of contact. Initiate and lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve complex application and infrastructure issues. Mentor engineers, identify skill gaps and help shape their technical development. Communicate technical strategy, trade-offs, and architectural direction clearly to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders. Who You Are Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Extensive software engineering experience Track record of leading technical initiatives from design through delivery Comfortable working independently, with a bias for action Strong ownership mentality and drive to solve the most important problems Excel at written and verbal communication Experience with financial services or wealth management operations Experience with object-oriented programming Experience with AWS or another cloud platform Experience with IaC (infrastructure as code), preferably Terraform Experience with gen AI for coding Our Values Act Like an Owner - Think and operate with intention, purpose and care.
