ABOUT YOU
Are you a curious, hands-on problem solver who would rather build the fix than write the ticket? Do you get a kick out of sitting with a project manager, an accountant, or a superintendent, figuring out what actually slows them down, and then shipping an AI agent or workflow that makes that problem go away? Do you act with integrity and hold yourself to the highest standards? If the answer is, “Yes!” then we have an exciting, long-term opportunity for you. Who are we? We are ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies.
As an AI Solutions Analyst on ARCO’s Innovation team, you will find the business problems worth solving and solve them with AI. Think of the role as forward deployed: you will spend real time embedded with departments across the company (preconstruction, accounting, HR, safety, legal, marketing) to understand how work actually gets done, then design, build, pilot, and roll out agents and AI workflows on ARCO’s platforms. You will own problems end to end, from the first conversation to adoption, and you will measure your success by the hours you give back to ARCO associates.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Embed with departments and project teams to find high-value problems: shadow the work, ask the obvious questions, and separate the daily irritations from the real bottlenecks.
Size and prioritize opportunities by business impact (hours saved, risk reduced, capacity created) and work with your VP and department leaders to decide what gets built, and in what order.
Design and build agents and AI workflows on ARCO’s platforms, including Claude, Claude Code, Glean, and custom built solutions, connected to our core systems.
Prototype fast, pilot with a real team on a real project, gather feedback, and iterate until the solution is something people would be upset to lose.
Roll out what works: write the quick-start guide, train the first users, stand up champions inside the department, and drive adoption.
Measure what you ship and report on outcomes, not activity: usage, time saved, errors avoided, and what you would do next.
Partner with IT, Data & Analytics, and Security to get the right data access and keep every solution inside ARCO’s AI governance, data security, and privacy guardrails.
Help triage and develop the ideas associates submit through ARCO’s AI ideas program, and turn the best of them into funded initiatives.
Evaluate vendor AI tools and features against build-it-ourselves options, and give leadership a clear recommendation.
Document what you build so someone else could maintain it, and hand mature solutions off to their long-term owners.
Stay current on what AI can do and bring new possibilities back to the business in plain language.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
2-5 years of experience in a role where you solved operational problems with technology: business or systems analyst, operations or process improvement, consulting, product, data and analytics, or a builder who has done this on the side and can prove it.
Hands-on experience building with AI tools: agents, assistants, and automated workflows using platforms like Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Glean, Power Automate, n8n, Zapier, or similar. We will ask you to show us something you have built.
Comfort with light code and data. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be able to read and write Python, SQL, or JavaScript with AI assistance, work with APIs, and not be afraid of the CLI.
Strong discovery skills: you can get a busy associate to tell you what is really wrong in 20 minutes, and you know the difference between what people ask for and what they need.
Product instincts: you scope small, ship early, and let real usage tell you what to build next.
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You can explain what an agent does to a superintendent and a CFO in the same meeting.
