This individual will play a critical role in the coordination, installation, integration, commissioning, and successful turnover of Building Management Systems (BMS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), and associated control systems on large-scale, mission-critical data center construction projects. A DAY IN THE LIFE Oversee and coordinate the design, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), and associated control systems on mission-critical data center projects. Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure building automation systems meet project specifications, owner requirements, and operational expectations. Manage and coordinate controls contractors, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and commissioning teams throughout construction, startup, and project turnover. Review BMS and controls design documents, equipment submittals, shop drawings, wiring diagrams, control sequences, and network architecture for compliance with project requirements. Support the commissioning and functional performance testing of HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air-handling equipment, pumps, and other critical mechanical infrastructure. Coordinate the integration of BMS with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms, and other facility monitoring systems as required. Verify control sequences, point-to-point testing, alarm functionality, trending, system graphics, and communication protocols to support reliable building operations. Troubleshoot control system integration issues, communication failures, programming deficiencies, and equipment performance concerns alongside subcontractors and commissioning teams. Work with industry-standard building automation platforms and communication protocols, including Tridium Niagara, BACnet IP/MSTP, Modbus TCP/RTU, PLCs, and related control technologies.
