Consultant/Senior Consultant Financial Services

Role - Consultant / Sr. Consultant Immediate Joiner Location - London (Hybrid) Role Summary We are seeking a Consultant to support a major financial services transformation programme within a global banking environment. This role is suited to an early-career professional with strong stakeholder management, project coordination, operational improvement, and process optimisation experience. The successful candidate will work across business and technology teams, supporting change initiatives, operational enhancements, and project delivery activities. The Role and Responsibilities Support delivery of business transformation and change initiatives across financial services operations. Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure project milestones, actions, and dependencies are tracked effectively. Gather, document, and maintain business requirements, process maps, and project documentation. Assist with operational reviews, process improvement activities, and workflow optimisation. Support governance activities including status reporting, action tracking, and stakeholder communications. Analyse operational data and prepare management information to support decision-making. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions with business and technology teams. Support user adoption, training, and change management activities. Identify risks, issues, and bottlenecks and escalate appropriately. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using automation and AI-enabled solutions where applicable. Required Experience: Experience working within financial services, banking, insurance, consulting, or a regulated environment. Exposure to project coordination, business change, transformation, operations, or process improvement initiatives. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities. Ability to analyse processes and identify opportunities for operational efficiency. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable producing reports, presentations, and project documentation. Desired Experience : Exposure to business transformation, project management, or consulting engagements. Knowledge of investment banking, capital markets, or financial services operations. Experience supporting change management or user adoption initiatives. Experience with automation, AI tools, or workflow optimisation projects. Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies. Skills & Tools : Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Jira Power BI Process documentation and workflow mapping Data analysis and reporting Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills Candidate Profile : Early-career consultant with strong potential to develop within financial services consulting. Demonstrates a proactive and delivery-focused mindset. Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at different levels.
