Head of Accounting & Tax (f/m/x)

As a factoring and leasing company and an independent subsidiary of the Enpal Group, we enable installation companies and project developers to offer simple instalment and financing solutions to their customers. What you’ll do As Head of Accounting & Tax (f/m/x), you will lead the accounting and tax function at EFS. You will be responsible for reliable HGB and IFRS reporting, timely financial close processes, budgeting, tax compliance and the accounting of factoring / leasing of receivables as well as SPV and financing structures. This is a hands-on role with significant exposure to the business. You own the monthly and annual closing processes for EFS and ensure reliable, high-quality financial reporting. You translate business plans into budgets and forecasts in close collaboration with Enpal Group Finance and relevant business stakeholders. You ensure accurate reporting under HGB and IFRS, including the preparation of IFRS adjustments. You coordinate consolidation and financial statement preparation across relevant entities. You oversee the accounting treatment of factoring and leasing transactions, receivables, financing arrangements, asset transfers and related intercompany transactions. You manage accounting for SPVs, securitisation and other financing structures. You coordinate corporate tax and VAT compliance together with external tax advisors and Enpal Group functions. You build and continuously improve accounting policies, processes and internal controls. You coordinate internal and external audits and ensure that findings are addressed in a timely and structured manner. You further develop the accounting and tax function, including team structures, responsibilities and processes. You drive the automation, scalability and efficiency of reporting and closing processes. You act as a key accounting and tax partner for EFS management and stakeholders across the Enpal Group. What you’ll bring You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a comparable field. You bring several years of relevant experience in audit, financial reporting, group accounting or a comparable finance function. You have strong knowledge of IFRS and HGB and experience with statutory reporting, consolidation and financial close processes. You are familiar with corporate tax and VAT compliance. You bring relevant experience in factoring, leasing, financial services, lending, receivables management or another asset-finance environment. A background in a Big Four or comparable audit environment is a plus, ideally combined with experience in a start-up, scale-up or other dynamic organisation. Experience with SPVs, securitisation or other financing structures is an advantage. Experience with core banking systems or comparable financial systems is a plus. You work in a structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented way and enjoy improving processes and building scalable structures. You are comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders and translating complex financial topics into clear, actionable decisions.
