Your opportunity for impact: NetDocuments is seeking a Legal Engineer. This exciting new role sits at the intersection of legal practice, software development and product management. The Legal Engineering team will have primary responsibility for evaluating and improving the performance of NetDocuments’ systems and products on tasks that require legal knowledge for quality assurance. Legal Engineering is an enablement team serving our product teams, not external customers. Legal Engineers will not be “forward deployed.” Legal Engineers will partner with and advise product managers, engineering managers, and designers across the company. Legal Engineers will have responsibility for designing and implementing legal quality assurance evaluations and implementing platforms to support that work. Legal Engineers will also be tasked with discovering, proving, and recommending methods to improve legal quality in NetDocuments’ systems and allow our customers to get more value from their data. This role reports to the Manager of Legal Engineering. The ideal candidate is a person with experience in some combination of legal practice, software development including coding agents, non-deterministic system evaluation, data set generation and curation, and who is inspired by the opportunity to make agentic legal AI both more reliable and more trustworthy.
