This leader will guide the engineering team responsible for serving reliability, testing frameworks, and developer experience across ads and consumer serving systems. The team focuses on catching issues before broad production rollout through robust reliability frameworks (Safe Deploys, testing, PinConf migration, decider ACA, regression testing) and advancing infrastructure modernization (PinCompute, Pinconf adoption, continuous profiling, fleet upgrades) while maintaining deep expertise in large-scale serving platforms. You will work across Ads and Consumer engineering teams to define durable platform capabilities, modernize frameworks, and unlock faster product iteration with high confidence in production. What you’ll do: Build and lead a team of high-caliber software engineers. You'll be responsible for hiring, performance management, career development, and fostering an inclusive, high-output team culture. Lead engineering team and strategy focused on serving reliability across both ads and consumer serving platforms, production change management at scale, and developer experience. Ensure platform reliability, high availability, and operational excellence across the end-to-end ad-request lifecycle. Build and maintain safeguard automation, including canarying rollouts, configuration verification, automated regression testing, and launch readiness frameworks to eliminate toil and catch issues prior to broad production releases. Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, ensuring serving infrastructure is adopting company wide advancements and fleet upgrades. Drive operational excellence, infrastructure performance, cost efficiency, and compliance controls while supporting business growth at scale. Use AI to accelerate analysis, debugging, design exploration, and iteration while applying sound engineering judgment and validation. Raise the quality bar through design reviews, code reviews, documentation, and operational excellence. Mentor engineers and scale technical leadership across the organization. What we’re looking for: 7+ years of engineering experience 2+ years of Management experience Proven experience managing software engineering teams and maintaining large-scale ads and consumer serving platforms. Demonstrated success in hiring, performance management, career development, and fostering inclusive team environments. Strong expertise in production change management at scale, automating away operational toil, launch readiness verification, canarying rollouts, configuration verification, and serving platform reliability.
