Sr Director of Product, Mobile
Squarespace is looking for a Senior Director of Product, Mobile to own product strategy for our mobile experience as it evolves from a companion to desktop into a primary growth channel for the business. Sellers increasingly run their businesses from their phones, taking payments in person, sending invoices, and managing orders on the go, and mobile is now one of the highest-leverage growth surfaces at the company.
This is a surface-level mandate, not just an app role. Today our mobile experience spans a native app, mobile web, and product experiences designed desktop-first and adapted for mobile with varying consistency. You will unify this into one coherent mobile strategy: deciding where the native app, mobile web, and responsive experiences each play, and ensuring every new product experience treats mobile as a first-class consideration.
You will lead and develop the mobile product team across our US and Dublin squads, partner as a true peer with mobile engineering, design, and analytics, and represent mobile in company-level product planning as our product architecture evolves. You will report to Squarespace’s President and work from our New York City office (hybrid 3x/week).
You’ll Get To…
Own the multi-year mobile strategy across the native app, mobile web, and adapted product experiences, aligning executive stakeholders on the north star, target customers, and investment sequencing
Lead, coach, and grow a team of product managers across two geographies, building a high-performing mobile product function
Drive measurable business outcomes in seller activation, engagement, and revenue through mobile product decisions
Define mobile-native experiences that leverage mobile-specific capabilities including in-person payments, real-time notifications, camera, and on-the-go workflows
Ensure new product experiences across the company are adapted for mobile with quality and consistency
Shape how mobile fits into the future of Squarespace's product architecture, with a seat at the table as that architecture evolves
Who We’re Looking For
12+ years of product management experience including leading and developing PM teams at the Director level or above
Owned mobile as a surface strategy, spanning native apps and mobile web.
You have shipped experiences where mobile was a critical product for the business and there was a high bar for your organization’s mobile craft
You carry a track record of outcome ownership, including activation, engagement, or revenue results you drove and the product choices behind them
Experience in commerce, payments, or seller/SMB tools strongly preferred
Fluency in mobile-native product mechanics
Comfortable operating amid evolving product and organizational architecture. You have experience influencing decisions beyond your direct scope.
