We're hiring an experienced Staff Product Designer to join the Agents team in Berlin. We're designing entirely new interaction patterns around how AI and humans work together through agents, through writing, from fixing your grammar to helping you schedule meetings. We're looking for someone to help us on that journey, help us build out new agents across Grammarly and Superhuman Go, and really define what these modern interaction patterns will be. You'd be involved end to end, partnering closely with our engineering and product teams, from Kyiv to Silicon Valley. In This Role: Design zero to one agents. New writing and communication agents, built as AI-first products. A lot of the job is inventing interaction patterns that don't exist yet rather than applying ones that do. Work with designers you'll learn from. The team spans San Francisco and Europe, with people who've come from some of the best product companies around. If you're looking for a design-focused environment with a lot of people to learn from, you'll get that here. Pioneer new AI design workflows. The way we design is changing underneath us. We often start in code, refine in Figma, and ship frontend changes back into the codebase. We're defining that way of working as we go, and we want people who are excited to help build something that lets designers make whatever they can imagine. Shape design strategy. Bring user insights, prototype ideas, and help build a longer-term view of where the Agents roadmap goes. Lead and mentor. Raise the standard through critique, feedback, and working closely with less experienced designers. Qualifications Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Figma and Claude Design is expected. The following outlines the skills and experience that will set exceptional candidates apart for this role. Extensive experience designing complex, scalable software. The kind of tool people sit inside all day, so productivity tools, creative or CAD software, developer tools. Most of that depth lives on desktop, so mobile isn't a primary focus for this role. A genuine interest in AI technology, both conceptually and in practical workflows like reading, writing and translating, and you're already experimenting with AI-driven prototyping. You care about language and writing. Words are the product here, so we want someone who also thinks about how a sentence works, what makes writing sound like a person, and how tone shifts depending on who you're talking to, not just the interface around the words. Comfortable working with metrics and data-driven design decision-making. Bonus is having worked directly in code and shipped PRs to production.
