As a Forward-Deployed AI Engineer, you’ll own outcomes end to end—from identifying high-value customer problems and shaping architecture to building production systems and working directly with senior client leaders. You’ll develop generative AI solutions in the real world, driving measurable impact and return on investment within large institutions. Enterprise AI is intense, intellectually challenging work. As a Forward-Deployed Engineer, You Will Find the Problem Worth Solving Work directly with customers to navigate ambiguity, uncover high-value opportunities, challenge assumptions, and translate complex business needs into clear technical direction. This requires curiosity and business acumen as you discover business workflows and jointly define the outcomes an AI solution should drive. Build Beyond the Frontier Architect and build production AI systems, from multi-agent workflows, orchestration, tool use, context engineering, memory and state, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to the APIs, data pipelines, integrations, and distributed systems that make them reliable at scale. Own the Outcome You won’t simply be given a list of responsibilities—you’ll have the authority to own the outcome for your client and make a real-world impact through your work. You’ll lead solutions from discovery through deployment and measurable impact while staying hands-on and owning evaluation, observability, security, reliability, latency, scalability, and cost.
