We are seeking a UX Designer – Mobile Applications with strong experience designing intuitive, user-centered digital products for native Android and iOS applications. The ideal candidate has expertise across the end-to-end design process, from user research and wireframing to prototyping, visual design, and usability testing. This role requires close collaboration with product, technology, and QA teams to deliver high-quality experiences aligned with business goals, technical requirements, and established design systems.
Key Responsibilities
User Research: Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and expectations. Gather and analyze insights to inform design decisions.
UX/UI Design: Create intuitive user flows, wireframes, interactive experiences, and visually appealing interfaces that promote usability and consistency.
Prototyping & Usability Testing: Develop low- and high-fidelity prototypes, conduct usability testing, and iterate on designs based on user feedback and research findings.
Mobile Application Design: Design experiences for native Android and iOS applications, ensuring usability, consistency, and alignment with platform-specific guidelines.
Design Systems: Follow the existing Apolo and Sarape design systems. When new components are required, create and document them for review and approval by the Design System team.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, QA engineers, marketing specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
Design Documentation: Prepare detailed design specifications, component documentation, and implementation guidelines. Maintain organized Figma files and follow established naming conventions and project structures.
Quality Assurance & Iteration: Collaborate with QA and development teams throughout implementation, validate the final product against design specifications, and incorporate feedback through continuous improvement.
Agile Delivery: Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, daily meetings, reviews, and retrospectives. Manage priorities and timelines to meet project deadlines.
Design Advocacy: Present and communicate design decisions effectively, explaining the rationale behind solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with UX/UI trends, emerging technologies, accessibility standards, and best practices in mobile application design.
Must-have Skills
5+ years of professional experience designing and delivering UX/UI solutions for real-world digital products.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, UX, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Mobile UX/UI Design: Proven experience designing mobile applications for native Android and iOS environments.
End-to-End Design Process: Knowledge of user research, UX writing, information architecture, wireframing, interaction design, prototyping, visual design, and usability testing.
Design Tools: Hands-on experience with Figma and FigJam. Familiarity with tools such as Sketch, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office.
Design Systems: Experience working with established design systems, reusable components, and design documentation.
